Keep work context intact when ownership changes. Generate source-backed handoffs from the tools your team already uses: decisions and unknowns kept, approved by the author.

What IL Co does
When work changes hands, IL Co writes the handoff from the Slack thread, Linear issue and pull requests behind it. Each handoff has five parts: what was decided and why, the evidence, what is still unknown, who owns the next step, and how to check it is done.
Every line cites its source. What the sources don’t establish is marked unknown, never filled in. Nothing is posted until the author approves it in IL Co.
Your team’s tools
Slack, Linear and GitHub connect inside IL Co: a workspace admin adds them on the Connections page. IL Co reads from them to draft a handoff, and an approved handoff is posted back to Slack and Linear. The GitHub App only reads.
A handoff can also cite links from Jira, Confluence, Notion, GitLab, Google Docs, Sentry, PagerDuty, Figma and Microsoft Teams, and a meeting transcript you paste in. An admin connects each one on the same page; Sentry, PagerDuty and Figma take a token instead of a sign-in. IL Co only reads these, when a handoff is drafted. Status: preview. They are new, so tell us if one misreads a link.
AI clients
IL Co is one MCP server at https://ilco.ilconcetto.org/mcp. Add it to your AI client, sign in to IL Co, choose a workspace and allow the permissions it asks for. IL Co is not yet listed in any client’s directory, so each client below is set up by hand.
ChatGPT. Plugins → + → Add custom MCP server; paste the address and choose OAuth. Your account or workspace policy decides whether custom servers are allowed. Status: install manually.
Claude. Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector; paste the address, then sign in. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors. Status: install manually.
Claude Code. Run claude mcp add --transport http il-co https://ilco.ilconcetto.org/mcp, then sign in from /mcp. Status: install manually.
Cursor. Add "il-co": { "url": "https://ilco.ilconcetto.org/mcp" } under mcpServers in ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then choose Connect in Settings → MCP. Status: install manually.
Codex. Add [mcp_servers.il-co] with url = "https://ilco.ilconcetto.org/mcp" to ~/.codex/config.toml, then run codex mcp login il-co. Status: install manually.
A client that can’t sign in can use a credential you create in Settings → AI clients, sent as a bearer token. It is shown once.
What an AI client can do
Read your handoffs, the work context behind them and the next steps. Start a draft from a Linear issue, Slack thread or pull request; only you see it. Ask the author to review a draft, which sends them a Slack message, so your client asks you to confirm first. Record progress and propose corrections that a person accepts or rejects.
It cannot approve or publish a handoff. Only the author approves, in IL Co, and nothing is posted to Slack or Linear without that approval.
Each connection is limited to the one workspace and the permissions you granted, and to what your plan includes. Text from Slack, Linear or GitHub is returned as quoted source material, never as instructions.
No account? Try a public pull request
Paste a public GitHub pull request to see a handoff without signing in. From an AI client, https://ilco.ilconcetto.org/mcp/public offers the same single tool. It reads public repositories only and stores nothing.
Remove access
Settings → AI clients lists every connected client; revoke one and it stops working at once. Expired sign-ins stop too, and the client asks you to sign in again. Removing the server from your AI client doesn’t revoke it on IL Co’s side, so revoke it there as well.
Troubleshooting and help
If sign-in loops or tools stop working, remove the server from your client, add it again and sign in. Check the status page for outages.
